"Bells of Iowa State Day"
October 27, 2019 was proclaimed as “Bells of Iowa State Day” by Mayor Haila. Dr. Tin-Shi Tam, University Carillonneur; Dr. Jonathan Wickert, Provost; Robert Lindemeyer, Past President of the Stanton Memorial Carillon Foundation; Emily Ladewig and Holly Olson representing Stephens Auditorium; and Noelle Fultz, President of Ames International Orchestra Festival Association (AIOFA) accepted the Proclamation at the Ames City Council Meeting on October 22, 2019.
The "Bells of Iowa State" Gala Anniversary Concert

This historic concert celebrated the 120th Anniversary of the Stanton Memorial Carillon; the 25th Anniversary of the university carillonneur, Tin-Shi Tam; the 50th Birthday of Stephens Auditorium and the Ames International Orchestra Festival Association (AIOFA) and the 65th Anniversary of the Stanton Memorial Carillon Foundation.
This special afternoon unveiled the new Campanile-Carillon Model, designed by cross-cutting ISU senior classes, and featured the Stanton Memorial Carillon, Iowa State Choir Alumni, ISU Symphony Orchestra, and ISU Wind Ensemble. Proceeds from this celebration are dedicated to promoting the art of the carillon for future generations.
